Our Cybersecurity Commitment: How Husson Law Protects Client Data
At Husson Law, LLC, we know that your trust is our most valuable asset. We also understand that today’s digital world makes protecting your personal and financial information more important than ever. That truth became even clearer to us recently when an attempted email breach temporarily impacted our Outlook system. The incident was contained quickly, no client data was compromised, and it reaffirmed how critical it is to stay ahead of ever-evolving cybersecurity threats. That’s why our commitment to strong cybersecurity is at the heart of how we do business.
From your first consultation to the final signing of your documents, you can feel confident that robust cybersecurity measures and industry-leading tools protect your sensitive information.
Why We Take Cybersecurity So Seriously
Cyber threats are constantly evolving. That’s why we continuously invest in up-to-date cybersecurity practices that protect not just our data — but your data, too. Our goal is simple: to keep your information safe so you can focus on what really matters — planning for your future with peace of mind.
How Our Cybersecurity Measures Keep You Safe
Here’s what we’re doing behind the scenes to protect you:
Advanced Network Protection:
We use a hardened firewall in front of all our networks and devices to block unauthorized access. This firewall is monitored and updated 24/7 to stay ahead of emerging threats.Device-Level Security:
Every mobile device we use is protected by strong software firewalls and next-generation antivirus and anti-malware tools powered by AI. This means your information stays protected wherever we work.Secure Communication:
We use ShareFile, a trusted, industry-leading platform for encrypted file sharing. This ensures that any documents you send to us by replying to us — or that we send to you — are fully encrypted, end-to-end.Encrypted Cloud Storage:
All client data stored in the cloud is encrypted and monitored around the clock, every day of the year.
How to Recognize a Secure Message from Husson Law
As part of our commitment to protecting your data, we want to ensure you always know what a legitimate message from our practice looks like—especially when it involves sensitive or confidential information.
If we ever need you to sign, download, or send documents, we will always send those messages using ShareFile’s Encrypted Email Service. Here’s what that looks like:
The email will come directly from John Husson or the firm’s Paralegal, Linda Aumiller, at our official @hussonlaw.com email addresses.
It will contain a secure link to ShareFile, where you’ll log in to view an encrypted message.
You can safely reply to that message within the ShareFile portal.
You will not be asked to open or download an attachment like a Microsoft Excel or Word document directly from an unencrypted email.
If you ever receive a suspicious message, please do not click any links. Instead, contact us directly so we can confirm its legitimacy. This extra layer of communication security is one more way to protect your information and trust.
